Hi JL,
I'm testing the latest version.
Refueling with Topcat (via FSUIPC) isn't possible.
The calculation of the fuel quantity is still wrong.
This version isn't usable.
Hello,
As you have noticed, the forum suffered yet another crash. The dedicated server hosting my forums died unexpectedly young. The hard drive of the server seem to be the culprit, now the server, hosted by Scaleway, won't restart.
The data on the server is all lost. There was no attack nor malicious actions as far as I could see.
After previous crash, I tried to ensure better safety with backup solutions, but it seems I missed critical portions of the database, or they got corrupted somehow between the beginning of the crash and the last backup I made. All backups I made were useless in any case, and that has taken me quite some time these last 48h...
Please make your best revive the forums again…
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Re: Fuel Error in latest Version
What do you mean fuel computation is not working? There is no issue with fuel apart from the fsuioc one, which may not be corrected?

Re: Fuel Error in latest Version
Hello JeanLuc
For me personally, TOPCAT is perfect because I can import the correct fuel quantity and weights (using FlightManager V1.8) directly from SimBrief.
From TOPCAT, I can adjust these values if necessary and import them directly into the aircraft, loading them correctly.
I can then even calculate the performance for takeoff and landing and, very importantly for me, send the respective data to the cockpit via ACARS.
This works using a single tool and a common interface – TOPCAT. Brilliant!
The only downside is that it is no longer being developed.
Do you understand why I like TOPCAT so much?
Hallo JeanLuc

Re: Fuel Error in latest Version
I get that you enjoy topcat for the computations, but the FSUIPC way to send fuel data is a lost cause. it's not easy to make it work, and it will not work whenever an MSFS version will come, because the software at that point will have a fully outside aero engine, fuel computations, etc etc. So it is not something that will be maintained anyway...
I can understand that its nice to have a direct way to send the fuel, but with the new app I do not feel it's too bothersome to say the version is unusable. It's the only way that guarantees a proper setting of ZFW, ZFWCG & FUEL without making a mess in the current hacks for weight & balance.

For me personally, the program isn't useless, and your arguments are understandable. It changes and extends the flow of flight preparations.
I have two questions:
- How do I get to the ZFW CG or GW CG?
- Is a connection to SimBrief possible?

Sorry, Jean-Luc, but your statement regarding MSFS and FSUIPC is simply not true.jeehell wrote: Fri Apr 25, 2025 9:34 pm I get that you enjoy topcat for the computations, but the FSUIPC way to send fuel data is a lost cause. it's not easy to make it work, and it will not work whenever an MSFS version will come, because the software at that point will have a fully outside aero engine, fuel computations, etc etc. So it is not something that will be maintained anyway...

The fuel panel I programmed for the A320 has already been successfully tested by users in both P3D and MSFS and works perfectly.
And I only use the offsets provided by FSUIPC to fill the fuel stations accordingly!
I've also offered you my refuel panel, so you don't have to program it yourself. Maybe you'll just take a look. I'd be happy to help you if I can.
Otherwise, I already reported this bug in the previous version and made a video about it, if you remember.
Here's the video about the problem again: https://youtu.be/M1eecUmo2TM

Stephan, I agree with you.balu69 wrote: Sat Apr 26, 2025 5:35 am For me personally, the program isn't useless, and your arguments are understandable. It changes and extends the flow of flight preparations.
I have two questions:

And Topcat is much better than the WBManger.
I'm also wondering how else I can use the CG or CGZFW.
Topcat is essential for P3D users.

Re: Fuel Error in latest Version
I never said there was a problem with FSUIPC and MSFS. The problem will be with MY software and FSUIPC when in MSFS anyway, because when it happens (and I am working on it...) then the way it will work will mean FSUIPC won't be of much use anyway.
WBmanager is not a replacement of topcat, or whatever planning tool you use. It is just to help you refuel and use the latest version without needing to go in P3D menus, or have some fuel issues. The idea is that you compute your fuel and OFP with topcat, get the ZFW, ZFWCG and FOB from topcat, insert them in the simulation via WBmanager.
The option to insert GW and CG directly is not mandatory, you can either use ZFW/ZFWCG/FOB or FOB/GW/CG. That's it... you don't need to fill everything...
I will not add your tool to my software package because:
1. I do not have your source and don't know what it does
2. it uses FSUIPC as far as I know, and I will not deploy tools using FSUIPC as primary means to communicate with the software

Re: Fuel Error in latest Version
The intermediate step via WBManager is feasible for me, and I certainly won't replace TOPCAT – although I would buy a more up-to-date, modern tool in a heartbeat.
@Dieter - wouldn't it be interesting for you to program and sell something like that?
@JeanLuc - What I don't quite understand is what the advantage of the new loading is?

Re: Fuel Error in latest Version
it works, using FMGS internal communications. Engines & fuel computations are already 100% outside of P3D. Fuel is sent to P3d by my soft only for weight setting for the aerodynamic engines (which is still P3D, for now). But when fuel is used, my software removes fuel from P3D as well. It's not always easy to know if fuel given by P3D is changed from my soft or from FSUIPC.balu69 wrote: Sat Apr 26, 2025 10:50 am @JeanLuc - What I don't quite understand is what the advantage of the new loading is?
