Erroneous TA/RA with traffic on same airway

I typically fly with real world traffic (PSXseecon) so it is not uncommon that, during cruise, flying along an airway, I would see traffic coming the other way at +/- 1,000 ft from my cruising altitude. In several occasions I did get a TA/RA. I don't think this should be the case. Both aircrafts were flying straight and level (separated by 1,000 ft).
