Red/Green Nav Lights

Hi all,
I have already lowered the values for the red and green Nav Lights to 1(Day) and 2(Night) in the cfg file for the new external lights, but still they are shining very bright, putting everything around 500m in red and green color.
On all the other lights, the change of the cfg file works. Is there something special with these Nav Lights to be regarded?
Thx,
Michael

Hi,
Balu69 posted a solution a while ago.

I have deleted the folder ExteriorLights and installed version B60.0.2. My lights are too dark at dusk.
Which version did you install?
Did you delete the ExteriorLights folder when installing a new version?
The problem, you descibed, I had in Version B58.

I updated to B59 and have afterwards copied back the Ext lights files from my back up folder

I just realized, that there are 2 folders for P3dv4 and P3Dv5, which are empty in my case.
Do I need to have the light files in one of these folders to take effect?
At the moment I have the light files directly in the main ExteriorLights folder.
Thx

Still don't get the light intensity changed.
I have tried changing the values of Intensity Day / Night, but there is no difference.
What am I missing?
Where exactly do the files need to be placed? I have them on the P3D PC directly under A320DFMGS/Exteriorlights.
Thanks

I'm not sure if I remember correctly but I believe I had to delete the shader cache when tinkering with the lights for any change to take effect. Might be worth a try.

I adjusted under [Particle.0]
the X Scale =
and under [ParticleAttributes.0]
the Intensity Day= and Intensity Night=
Above all, x-scale is responsible for the spatial expansion.
I think it's not perfect and maybe there are better settings, but it's better than before
happy new year and many good landings

Thank you Stefan!
Which X scale value did you choose?
And in which folder do you have the files? In the lights main folder or subfolder for P3Dv5?
Thanks and happy new year!

I adapted the files in the ...\A320 FMGS\Exterior Lights folder.
And this with the x scale is a bit of a try and see what you like.
I don't know if there are more options for customization, but for me it's pretty much true

Thanks for submitting the link again, Stefan - I'll play around a bit with the files.

I also tested the lamps from
https://alinga.ch/ExteriorLights.zip. Same problem. The lights are too dark.
Then I created the ExtLights.ini file in the FMGS server directory and entered useOldLights=yes. The old lights work now.
I suspect this is due to FMGS running on a dedicated server. The exterior lights are installed on the P3Dv6 machine.
Tried several variations, useNewLights=yes and useOldLights=no, copied the file on the P3Dv6 machine and the dedicated server, also the exterior lights. Tried an older and newer Version of ExteriorLights. No success.
I have also checked the xml file for the exterior lights on the P3Dv6 machine. Everything is correct.
I just can't get it to work again.

So, did some finetuning to adjust to my preferences and now all lights are working just great!
I actually only lowered the distance (x-value) and intensity for landing lights a bit. The rest was already perfectly pre-configured by you.
Thanks again, Stefan
