B58.0.2 IAE

Post by Buford »

Hi,
did anyone try the IAE version in B58? While the CFM version runs great, I do not get the engines of the IAE running. They run up until app. 25 % N2, but no fuel flow and no N1 rising. Enough fuel on board, APU and Bleed running, pumps on, all as with the CFM. Tried it with the default A320_200_CFM_NoVC.mdl and the old A320_200_IAE_NoVC.mdl - same behaviour.
Any idea?

Re: B58.0.2 IAE

We could make some progress to find the issue: I made a full new clean install of B58.0.2, but it seems, that would not have been needed. IAE works only, if A320 FMGS has been running with CFM configuration and is switched to IAE configuration from there. If A320 FMGS is started in IAE configuration (for example because the former flight has been made with IAE configuration or it has been switched to IAE before without P3D running), it does not work. This is indicated by the N1 indicators, which do not stand (as they should) at 0.999, but already at 1.175. In this case, the engines do not spool up. When one now switches to CFM and back to IAE, the N1 indicators read 0.999 and the engines spool up normally.
Can someone confirm this behaviour?
If yes, it is not that urgent or serious, but it would be nice, if it could be solved, that IAEs instantly run without switching to CFM and back to IAE. Until then it seems to be a suitable procedure to switch back to CFM after every flight with an IAE, start A320 always with CFM configuration and switch to IAE, if wanted, only from started CFM configuration.
That all seems to be independent of the used mdl file.
