Problem connecting FMGS Scalarki module across to to P3Dv6

Post by Barrykensett »

I have recently upgraded my P3D computer with Widows 11 and moved the FMGS server to the FS PC.
I have two satellite computers running amongst other things the software modules for Skalarki hardware.
It looks as though all things are working normally in that the server is showing all modules connected but in the other direction the
Skalarki module is not connecting to the P3Dv6 program.
I have worked for some time with the file sharing and permissions stuff noting that Windows11 is different in a number of ways to Wifows 10.
Has anyone else had anything like this they can share with me?

Hello Barry
FSUIPC is required for skalarki.
Do you have FSUIPC installed in p3D V6?
wideFS running & connected so your skalarki profiler sees FSUIPC?
Firewalls can be a problem also.

Hello,

The skalarki module has not been updated by Marcin for P3D v6. So, when you start the module, it show that the simulator is not connected... However it is! if you just run your profile and operate your cockpit normally, it works perfectly well. At least it does that for me.

Just ignore the red indication that the simulator is not connected.

Thanks for replies.
FSUIPC is loaded on FS computer and WideFS is on the other two. I input the optional line giving IP address of FS PC in setup.
All firewalls on network are off, firewall on router is on.
In Skalarki setup messages as follows
FSUIPC yes
Selected aircraft is correct
Hardware connect no
When profile is run get error Not connected to JL FMGS
Server IP is correct
Jeehell FMGS is selected
Simulator version Lockheed Martin P3D V4/v5, no option for v6
However Francis mine is not running
Note standby instruments are running but cannot get anything else as I cannot get power on and overhead functioning.
Hardware connect window shows Skalarki connected to FMGS
I have recently been getting corrupted downloads of FMGS and I turn anti virus off. Never used to have to do this
So I still wonder if I have problems here. I download into my office computer with AV off and put file on NAS drive
to download to Simulator PC’s.
Note FMGS server shows all applicable modules connected, all greens.
If I start engines on keyboard I can fly on standby instruments, all axes are direct on FS PC so side stick, rudders, flaps all work.
Normally I control computers and start programs using FS Flight Control on a fourth computer but I have not been using that while trying to sort problem.
I will contact Marcin regarding V6 applicability.

Skalarki confirm that software works with P3Dv6 confirming Francis comments.
I’m still stuck with this, sim out of service. Other than lack of Skalarki hardware everything else looks normal. All FMGS modules connected.
FSUIPC is connected via WideFS. Will have another go round the sharing settings to see if I have overlooked something.

Some resolution now, basic error was fixed by specifying protocol in WideFS.ini
Most simulator functions now working but I note that in the FMGS Skalarki window it shows Flight Sim not connected,
Perhaps this is another V6 peculiarity as the system appears to be working fine.
