Red/green effects on outside objects

Hi Jean Luc, all,

I am experiencing some strange colour effects since updating to B57.
Objects to the left are getting a red tone, while objects to the right are getting a green tone. Center view is ok.

You would think, that this has something to do with the graphics card or P3D, but the funny thing is, it only appears with FMGS running!

See attached pictures, parking in front of a hangar, where the effect comes out pretty well.
Lower pic with engines running. Upper one after turning engines and power off (normal again).

Any idea?

those are the nav lights reflecting on the building, I need to work a bit on the light effects to avoid those.

I had the same problem but someone posted a solution a while ago which is , if I remeber correctly, go to a320fmgs/aircraft/effects and open the fx navred and fx navgreen in notepad then lower the xscale where the number 600 appears to number 2 . You can tweak the value according to your liking.

ah ok, indeed a bit too strong light effect 😉

I will try to adjust the light effect according to the post from Mike. Or deactivate the new ext lights.

I remember, i had to create a file like “old ext lights.txt” or so.
Can you please share again the how to?

yes, i adjusted all lights. I also set the lights not to illuminate the area during the day (Intensity Day=0). I think these are more realistic that way.

balu69 and michael1508: don´t you experience any stutters at the take off role while on the runway with the new lights activated?

no, I don't notice any stutters (by day). But would have to test at night and in bad weather. get in touch

Hi Bernd,

I experience the less stutters, the lower the light intensity.
Taking the light files from balu69 as basis, I even lowered intensity of Landing lights to 10 at night / 6 at day.
So I still have some light effects during morning or early evening hours.
FPS during day is ok. At nights still hitting a bit, but not as bad as the default lights, which are anyway much too bright
