1 PC Setup

Hi!

I just have built my Skalarki homecockpit (no AFT overhead) and am now wondering, whether it is possible to run everything on one PC. I have read somewhere that due to the evolution of the PCs meanwhile they are strong enough.

I have one big screen (85'') instead of 3 beamers and in total 5 screens which I can theoretically all connect to my RTX 2080 Super:

1. Big screen
2. MCDU (only one on CPT side)
3. PFD/ND CPT side
4. PFD/ND F/O side
5. ECAM/MFD

My specs:
i9-9900K
RTX 2080 Super
32 GB RAM
2 TB SDD
Dark Power Pro with 1000 W
Win 10

Usually it's cpu which is limiting, though running many screens on one pc can also suffer from GPU.

I thought the 2080 was limited to 4 displays maximum. You might want to check that (or maybe I am wrong, which is totally possible).

I'm running the the following set up on one computer:
- PFD/ND CPT side
- MCDU CPT side
- PFD/ND FO side
- MCDU FO side
- ECAM/MFD
- Standby instruments

The computer configuration:
- Intel Core i7-3970X @ 3.5GHz (no overclocking)
- 16 GB RAM
- 500GB SSD
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660
- NVIDIA version 466.63
- Windows 10 Pro 21H1

The graphics performance is very good (it is smooth from my point of view but I don't have other comparison).

In addition, I run some Lua scripts and the SkalarkiIOProfile on this computer. I don't run P3D and the Jeehell core on this PC.

you are right. Thats what I had to find out after connecting my PC to all the screens.

Seems like I definitely need a second PC or at least a second GPU.

Thanks for the info. But it seems like you are using 2 PCs in total, right? Thats what I wanted to avoid. But now I know that unfortunately my GPU / Nvidia supports 4 screens max.
